Along with Batman & Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. They grow up so fast. Though it may lack the edge of the original, it's not without its moments and is still pretty amusing. Also, purely from a visual standpoint, five years shows what a difference can make in cinematography. Although both were filmed anamorphic, the heavy grain of the original contrasts with a largely brighter and clean palette of the sequel. The Bobby Brown song "On Our Own" is also one for the ages.

Pretty good sequel. Not as good or nearly memorable as the first, but we’ll all remember it for this:

I remember seeing all three in the theater.

I remember seeing all three in the theater. I saw them at the now closed Drive-in.

I might be accused of sacrilege, but while I enjoyed the original I never thought it was as great as many make it out to be. And I've never understood the hate GB II gets, in my mind it was as entertaining as the first one.

A good movie, yes, but not some masterpiece or the greatest comedy ever. I like the second film although it's largely a rehash of the first. I'm one of the few who likes the 2016 film.

I saw Ghostbusters II as a backup since the line to Batman was huge. I remember the local mall theater (remember those?) had a separate line just for Batman. It was near the food court which was near an entrance/exit to the mall. The line was out the door of the mall and I decided to walk up the line to the other films and proceeded to see GB 2. It was a great film and I didn't regret missing Batman. Later on we were on a family vacation and on the way back to Texas we stayed the night in Alabama and watched Batman at a local theater there before going to bed at the hotel. I think by then Batman was either at the dollar theater or close to it.
'89 was a great year. GB2, Batman, Indiana Jones, and UHF!!!

I just watched UHF again on Amazon Prime a few weeks ago, damn that was a funny movie.
