I've only seen The Killing and The Wire, both of which were excellent, though the latter wasn't half as good as The Guardian made it out to be, as nothing could ever be that good. I've recorded both seasons of The Handmaid's Tale on my magic box thingy, but given that it took me about 20 years to get around to reading the book, I have unsurprisingly yet to be in the mood to watch it. None of the other shows pique my interest in the slightest. I just watched the Wire for the sixth time a couple months ago and it's far and away the greatest show of all time. The Guardian couldn't build it up enough. Season one is, the other seasons were patchy IMHO.

A show I always like to "big up" is the Canadian series "Orphan Black". Great little show with an amazing central performance/s.

A show I always like to "big up" is the Canadian series "Orphan Black". Great little show with an amazing central performance/s. My wife watched that show, and I gave it a whirl. I thought the first season was really good, but the second season, in my opinion, became insurmountably stupid and I gave up after that season, other than catching random bits and pieces afterwards. Tatiana Maslany, however, was outstanding throughout and her performances alone makes the entire show watchable. I distinctly remember watching scenes with Alison and Cosima (sp?) and you honestly felt like you were watching two completely different actresses. Incredible work on her part.
