Apparently, there were 4(!) officials from that Saints/Rams game that were from the LA area, a couple of whom were directly involved in the controversial play. Not a good look for a league that quite frankly, has a lot of folks questioning the legitimacy of these games.
To try to solve the problem, the league is gonna try a lot harder to ensure that officials assigned to games aren't from the area of either of the teams involved.
This might be tough to do with certain cities, but luckily enough this shouldn't have an effect on games involving the Saints and Eagles, as no one from those cities are intelligent enough to officiate a NFL game.

Nice try, but Bill Vinovich and his crew are notoriously anti-Rams. The Rams were 0-8 under his crew, with fewer penalties than their opponents in exactly zero of those games.

Sounds like they were waiting for the right time to do their handiwork, like, oh I don't know, the NFC Championship Game.

Hey, I'm a Chargers fan so I don't really care about either the Rams or the Saints, I'm just making some conversation. You're the one who sounds like someone with a chip on the shoulder. Read my original post, it's really meant as a shot at people from New Orleans and Philly.
