Because everything's violent. When I was a kid the first movie I ever saw was Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. That was violent, it's about a cowboy going around beating and killing people involved in human sacrifice. The second was Jurassic Park that was also violence it's about dinosaurs eating people. Then I would watch nature documentaries about lions killing wildebeests or sharks eating other fish, hawks killing rabbits. Nature is violent. Then I'd watch this show called Cops about police slamming people to the ground and arresting them. On Sundays we'd go to church and hear about God killing people with fire and brimstone, drowning people in a flood. A kid named David killing a giant with a sling shot to the head. God is violent. Sometimes I'd watch cartoons, Batman and Superman going around beating people up, Digimon and Poke'mon about super animals fighting each other. I learned history in school about all these genocides and wars. So everything is violent. How can people single out Tarantino? How can people be vegan? Violence is part of life.

I think it’s because they think that it’s a vital part to his movies without having a genuine meaning. The other sources you listed aren’t centred around violence as much as QT’s films.
I don’t agree with them either but I don’t think that’s a very valid reason to defend him.

We've been violent since the caveman days.

Everything is pointless, so what's your point?

I'm more offended at him being a racist and putting the N word into his movies as much as he can.

We've been violent since the caveman days. I wonder how many really did live in caves? No doubt they did since there is evidence of cave paintings. I dunno what the population was but I would think they could have made lean tos or other structures that would have fallen apart by now. I mean, was there enough caves in enough places for all the evolving humans that were around back then?

They probably fought over the caves.

Besides, it's not like QT is profiting much with McDonald's cups &/or toy figurines exploiting it.
