Watching "Criminally Insane" last night it reminded me of another movie, the title of which escapes me.
It centers around a middle-aged woman who was either released or escaped from either prison or a mental hospital. She meets some woman in a park, there is some short conversation about art, (I think,) and the woman invites the recently released woman to stay with her.
The woman in the park turns out to be from a very rich family and they invite the releasee/escapee to stay and work for them. Murder and mayhem ensue.
While it was low budget, I seem to remember there being a B-list actor or two in it.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Could it be LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH? Nope. This wasn't a married woman, and also, I seem to remember it taking place in CA, not Upstate NY. Also, no ghost girl. Just a woman who is off her meds and working for this family, I believe as a maid. Let's Scare Jessica To Death is one of my favorite movies.

Probably not your movie but I remember a TV Movie with a somewhat similar premise. It was named THE SCREAMING WOMAN and it starred Olivia deHavilland. It scared the hell out of me. THE SCREAMING WOMAN

THE SCREAMING WOMANThanks, but it wasn't that either. What reminded me of it while watching Criminally Insane was the beginning with her murdering someone and also, Priscilla Alden. But this woman wasn't Alden, she was too old.

That one made the original one look like a four star opus.

The released or escaped mental patient or prisoner, an overweight lead, a murder to start things off, etc. I've been doing keyword searches and I keep coming up empty. But I did learn, it's not "A Night To Dismember" either.

I finally figured out what this movie is. I didn't remember it all to a t, but the movie is Dear Dead Delilah Something about Priscilla Alden reminded me of the actress who played the maid in that.
