I’m not a contrarian. I just think that BB is a really lousy show. Also, you are aware that the whole reason the show was conceived to begin with was because WB wanted a Batman show that could appeal more to kids, right? With that in mind, I don’t understand why the show had this edgy aesthetic to it. When you have a protagonist who’s in high school, that usually means that you’re trying to appeal to a younger demographic. You mean like any other Saturday morning animated show? I think you only see it as edgy because he's a teenaged character. Nah. The music and the overall aesthetic of the show are pretty edgy. The show definitely comes across as being more edgy and “intense” than B:TAS.

The show definitely comes across as being more edgy and “intense” than B:TAS. Well, Batman Beyond was suppose to be set in the future while Batman:TAS felt like it was in the 40s. They were trying to convey that.
