My favorite scene in movie history is Vito stalking and killing Don Fanucci. DeNiro, almost a chameleon on the rooftops while Fanucci stand out like a sore thumb in the street celebration. Fanucci tapping the lightbulb. The button hitting the floor when Fanucci opens his vest after the first shot. The music. The Final scen where Vito goes back to his family as if nothing happened instead of changing the family history

Also love the contempt he shows for Fanucci - He puts another shot in his mouth for good measure then kicks his body over.

I also forgot how Fanucci slams his hat down so fast on the money when Vito puts it on the table.

You can see watching the first two 'Godfather' films where Gordon Willis earned his nickname 'The Prince Of Darkness'. I've heard it was given to him by his friend Conrad Hall.

I love how Michael's stuff looks & feels less rich than GF1, more modern... while young Vito's flashbacks do look & feel quite like the first film's origins.
