The Mavericks will reportedly acquire Tim Hardaway Jr. and Courtney Lee in the deal, while sending Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan and Wes Matthews. It will open up salary space for the Knicks.

If the Knicks don't get real players to come to play for them with that open money, they're really going to be a laughingstock.

Why would they want to? Play for the Knicks that is.

Why would they want to? Play for the Knicks that is. Dolan will probably rehire Isaiah Thomas as GM.

I don't follow the NBA barely at all. But can somebody explain to me why the Knicks are such a dumpster fire? Is their GM/Owner really just the entire reason? It really seems like they're the laughing stock of the NBA and have become what the Browns used to be. Why can't they seem to get shit right?

So the Mavs will have 2 young European stars to lead them? People talk about 76ers and Celtics a lot. What about those Mavs? Luka and Porz.

Someone people, groups are just hopeless in terms of being able to achieve greatness. Recently dealing with one side of my family, I have come to that conclusion. As I called for a βhuddleβ so everyone could get on the same page about a fam members surgery. They refused. They like to just back channel and subvert each other. And yet wonder why they never achieve much and are just surrounded by schmucks. Can you imagine the Patriots and Brady not having a huddle? Or Brady telling his WR one play, his RB another and his O Line has no idea what the play is?

Lots of rumours going around. They say we are going to get DeAndre. Is that true? But I wish it is true.

This is disconcerting as a C's fan. There's been buzz about Kyrie going to NY since last offseason; now they have the space to sign him.

The only way New York gets anything out of this is if they can get Durant in the offseason. This is strictly a move to clear up space. As of this post though, the Mavericks got the WAY better end. They will be a force for years to come now. Great job by Cuban. He goes right from the Dirk era to a new era of competing.
It is crazy to think that the Knicks are the worst team in the NBA for two decades. It is New York city, yet they have stunk forever. They have the worst record in the entire NBA over the past twenty years.

Wouldn't mind him as a backup '5' to Embiid - don't think he'd like that role. Granted he can't shoot and plays above the rim - but concern here is we just need a respectable 5 to give Embiid a breather/rest so they're not run off the court - give up a big lead.

Yeah....that was the argument given by the Rockets fans. Though it's not just rumour but also true that Jordan had shown a desire to play for the Rockets during July last year. He was heard talking to some of the teammates and caught saying that he wants to play for the Rockets.
Recently our GM said that he understands this is the best year of Harden and probably the best of CP3 before CP3 enters his twilight years and so he wants to do something special for the team. I believe Mathews is a very good defender, isn't he? We could also use his services in case Jordon doesn't come.
