do Western themed Twilight Zones count?
there's a couple of epic ones....
the dead ghosts rolling through a porch with two women on it from the Civil War......
the dead body that sits up in a casket at his funeral....
the gunslinger who visits a grave at the dead of night at the bet of others and never returns.........
side note - Alfred Hitchcock presents - on my boxset - two gunslingers agree to draw at each other when the clock strikes 12 - wife secretly alters the clock so they don't draw on each other.

I am a huge fan of westerns, especially old ones. Here's my list:
Magnificent Seven (original) The Searchers Man who shot Liberty Valance Naked Spur Rio Bravo
(among the many)
I defy any fan of film to watch these five and tell me you were not hugely entertained.

the proposition.
beautiful film - great atmosphere, score and cinematography.....
guy pearce from Mememto fame
brother vs. brother - what you do for your 3rd brother (youngest) in captivity and offered a 'proposition' - when your older brother is a bad guy?

One of my favorite films. Clearly intended to be a Western, but takes place in Australia so sticklers might not count it. Excellent Nick Cave score with a song to end it as well. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis also created an amazing score for another great western a few years later also made by an Australian director; The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Easily one of the best scores and one of the best looking films I've ever seen. Some of the great Roger Deakins best work in his legendary career.

I don't mind 'slow placed' movies (which was it's rap) - as long as there's a decent score, cinematography, great acting - and perhaps a big payoff at the end

Reilly was great. john c reilly? and it wasn't a comedy? he was also great in a well done mob movie called State of Grace with Sean Penn, Gary Oldman, Gary Harris, Robin Wright. terrific score with a St. Patricks Day feel - I watch it every St. Paddy's Day with Boondock Saints, The Departed

It was a well done western, Rielly was one of the producers as well.

"The Grave". Maybe my favorite TZ ever. It was a semi Man Who Shot Liberty Valance reunion. Lee Marvin, Lee Van Cleef, Strother Martin.
Also "Showdown with Lance McGrew" where a TV western star goes back in time to face the real Jesse James. Also "Hundred Yards Over the Rim", Cliff Robertson in a wagon train goes into modern Arizona Also "The 7th is Made of Phantoms", three National Guardsmen end up at the Little Bighorn
The Civil War one was "Still Valley" and the dead body was "The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank" (thought it took place in Kentucky, could be wrong)'
