Sunset Boulevard All About Eve Harvey The Third Man Born Yesterday Father of the Bride Rio Grande The Asphalt Jungle In a Lonely Place
Surprised no one mentioned Harvey
What a year for performances. Of all, my favorite was George Sanders in All About Eve. So slimy. He tears Eve Harrington apart in 3 minutes. Used to be an old poster on the old CF board named AddisonDeWitt.

Used to be an old poster on the old CF board named AddisonDeWitt. Yes - I was thinking of him only a couple of days ago when the Dorothy Malone thread appeared (Addison was a big fan of her, esp her mambo in WRITTEN ON THE WIND) - I suspect he'd prefer the term "veteran" or "vintage" or even "classic" - rather than "old" though

When the hell did THAT happen. "D.O.A." has always been a '50 movie. A check of its release dates shows a premiere in Los Angeles on December 22, 1949. That may have been new information. So, for 1950, my Best Actor become Humphrey Bogart in In A Lonely Place.
