No. Davis will not make up for the loss of Ingram, Kuzma, and Ball. They will be significantly worse this season. Next season after signing another FA and using their MLE they'll probably be a playoff team but that's it. They still won't have the kind of depth needed. Then after a few 1st or 2nd round exits, when LeBron turns 37, they'll have no draft picks and no assets and be worse off than they were when they gave away the farm for Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. The franchise has a been a complete and utter joke ever since Jerry West left and I'm not convinced for a second that Magic Johnson knows what he's doing. Waah, poor Lakers.

Ha ha to the people saying that Davis is not worth it for a bunch of bum players. Give me a break. He is one of the top 5-6 players in the NBA and has the potential of an all time great. The Lakers need to give up whatever they can to get him. Lebron will be 35 during next season. They need to win now.
