The only time I can say that Roger Deakins deserved to lose twice that year.

The movie does have above average cinematogprahy but the overall movie does not work overall as it used to be a solid 8/10 at it's peak for me but as of a re-watch on April 6th 2014 it no longer holds up (dropped back to a 5/10).

Its technical marvels certainly hold up stronger for re-watch than the communal dramatic stuff with Dano's character & his false brother.
