Only hockey jersey I have . . . awesome. I cannot find this scene anywhere. '97 Finals against the Red Wings - Flyers were supposed to obliterate them with their strength and power. red wings skated circles around them on their way to a sweep. infamous series where the orange and blacks coach Terry Murray came out and made 'choking' comments. there's picture of the clock winding down - the epic Stanley Cup Scene of the 'losers' bench - with Murray with his hands both on Lindros and LeClair's shoulders as all three look shell- shocked - Detroit is celebrating - camera pans down a dejected Philly bench to Brindy ballng his eyes out uncontrollably - it's perhaps the greatest theater I've ever seen in sports. hockey may be my #4 of the big 4 here - but nothing beats NHL Playoffs - OT games where you're on pins and needles and the handshakes at the end of a series - nothing the NFL, NBA, or MLB produces comes close to it IMO |
