Then he really hit rock bottom with considerable substance abuse problems and serving jail time. He appeared on an episode of Dr. Phil talking about his struggles and when he planned to kill himself when at his lowest point.

Probably not because you fairly rarely, if not rarely, see people who were fairly known at one point, disappear, and then make any lasting comeback. NOTE: 'lasting comeback' as in land in decent movies for some years again.
