I wish I knew what the appeal of Batman Beyond is supposed to be. I've seen some online Batman fans wanting a Batman Beyond film so they can bring Michael Keaton back to play an older Bruce Wayne. I know. People in this very thread have expressed the desire to see Michael Keaton in a Batman Beyond film . If that’s the only reason people want to see such a film, then that should tell you everything there is to know about how shallow and forgettable Batman Beyond is. The only reason that show even exists is because the studio executives cynically wanted a Batman show that would be able to ride off the success of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The only reason that show even exists is because the studio executives cynically wanted a Batman show that would be able to ride off the success of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In that case, it's because of childhood nostalgia and it was actually a good superhero show. The cyberpunk world and the premise of Bruce Wayne mentoring Terry to being the Batman was great stuff. I don't remember any of the villains aside from the Jokerz. Also, the television show led to us having one of the best Batman films to date: Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.

Kristen Stewart as the Joker then?
You know what that wouldn't bother me.
