As Stan is no longer with us, I'll take Fat Sam's side then.
He is right in a way... Everton are a shambles, the club and fans don't know what they want... They should have given Koeman more time and backing. They are just flip flopping all over the shop. Silva was their dream manager, and they want him gone as well now.
Mind you, I will be pulling for them to do the impossible and beat City tomorrow.

I honestly find it difficult to know what Premiership fans want any more. Everton under Moyes when they were probably at the best they'd been in years seemed to alternate being the 7th team one year and avoiding relegation the next. Positive results are no longer enough for the average fan, winning 1-0 and finishing in the top ten is not good enough, they expect to play total football at the same time so sneer at the likes of Sam, Sparkie et al and want some fancy pants foreign coach with no English experience instead and expect him to be given unlimited funds and when he is inevitably sacked and his contract paid up, they expect the board to do the same all over again, whilst they demand resignations if they don't get what they demand. Look at Swansea, they were losing 400k a week in the Premier and are now languishing mid table in the Championship and bloody lucky they aren't in worse shape than that. Realistically the top flight is 3 divisions of 6 then 7 then 7 teams again andapart from the top six anyone should consider themselves blessed to stay up consistently as it would take upwards of, what? 2-300 million to have the slightest chance of breaking into the top 6 nowadays and an average spend of 100 million a year ever after to stay there. I would consider it an utter disaster were my team to ever make it there unless they did a Cardiff and expect to go down, get the parachute payments and slowly build again for a decent chance of doing a Bournemouth/Burnley/Watford. Any higher ambition is ludicrous and I'd hate the idea of a sugar daddy as you lose any sense of identity you once had. Premier League? You can shove it up your arse.
