Watched this on Netflix last night. Amidst being aggressively crude, it does actually try to say something about faith and the difference between us. But hey, it's also a movie where a taco eats out a hot dog bun while the hot dog, bagel, and a lavash jerk off watching.

I thought it was typical Hollywood shitting on religion while thinking they're oh so clever and edgy. I put it in the same pile with The Happy Time Murders as far as writing.

The premise was exhausted by the end of the trailer, I couldn't imagine sitting through the entire movie. Hats off to you, sir.

Legitimately one of the worst movies I've ever seen.Pure garbage. I thought the trailer made it look pretty funny, but it was awful.

Couldn't even finish it. Seth Rogen is so damn unfunny. I tried to give it a shot but it was beyond unfunny and all the jokes were all lazy as hell.

I think it is often hilarious and clever up to a point, but it does wear a bit thin eventually. Still, I highly enjoy the voice-work, the animation, the idea of anthropomorphic food in a grocery store and douche is one of the freakiest villains in recent memory. There is only so much you can do with crude food based social commentary.

I didn't enjoy the first part much so I waited until the next day to watch the rest. I found the second half much more interesting than the first. The twist at the very end was an interesting fourth wall break.

Based the trailer, I had initially intended to check it out. Then the reviews were released and I decided otherwise.

The posts made it out to be like an ultra-crude American Pie type of film, whereas I had been hoping for a more risque version of Toy Story basically. In the end, it just didn't sound like something I'd be interested in watching.

Well of course people weren't expecting high art, but sometimes a movie will look like something you usually like but then just isn't. Sometimes trailers for bad comedies will put all of the funny parts in the trailer to sell the movie and then the actual movie isn't very funny overall and isn't as smart as creative as you were expecting. I was hoping the movie would be better, but overall it is more or less what I expected.

It is very crude social commentary about food that comes to life at night after the grocery store closes.

That basically is what it is though. How did you find the film yourself? Regarding the actual story, based on my memory, it is about the food's faith being called into question and some of the food goes on a mission through the grocery store trying to find out if God is real.
