3/10. Liked a few of the characters. But fuck this movie. Probably my least favorite Spielberg film. Switches from schmaltzy to cynical on a dime. The revelation of Hanks' purpose is a big old "are you kidding me"?

2/10. I thought it was just terrible. The airport set was hugely impressive, though.

No rating.
But I enjoy the film, and could watch it anytime it is on TV

8/10 So what!, sometimes I like to see a nice movie with nice people. Plus Bebop jazz legend Benny Golson was in it. and part of the plot.

6.5, I gave it a 6.
Reminds me of Big actually, Hanks as fish out of water trying to fit in.

The Terminal gets a high score from me , having spent time stuck in airport terminals or waiting for flights . The more I travelled the more paranoid I became that I would never reach my destination or would be detained indefinitely because of inaccurate details or sloppy officials , which did happen occasionally . It became a phobia , where I couldn't sleep or would lie awake sweating over possible consequences . Tom Hanks may be too much of an All-American , but he puts plenty of effort into his role . I like bio-pics , and this is well done . And I empathised with the poor traveller , who ended up stuck in the international transit lounge , at that airport for 8 years .
Hanks has done similar movies to this , where he plays an individual who is in circumstance that are out of control - all worth seeing -
Captain Phillips (2013)
Bridge of Spies (2015)
A Hologram for the King (2016)
Sully (2016)
9/10

Do you mean why so high or why so low?

Neither … why have you rated it as you rated it however you rated it.
7/10 is just a number and is meaningless especially because you have your own rating system that seems to be different from just about everyone else's rating system.
Use your words, man, use your words !

Now... why should I answer when you're making fun of me out of nowhere? Actually, you've already done in other threads recently... even when I'm not talking to you directly. Well... Because somebody has to be the bigger man.
This movie has a compelling and funny story, good performances and great art direction/production design. However, it suffers due to having a villain in a situation that doesn't really need it and some subplots that don't add up.

Vits I find all of these rating Threads with posts of #/# pretty meaningless and until and unless there are words to say where these numbers come from, they will remain that way. Says a lot more about the movie than 7/10 did. If you don't want replies … why post ?

I find all of these rating Threads with posts of #/# pretty meaningless and until and unless there are words to say where these numbers come from, they will remain that way. Then why are you on this part of the forum? It's called "Rate movies." There's another one for reviews. Plenty of other users do it like I do. In fact, I learned it from them. If you don't want replies … why post ? That's not the point. You bring up things that have nothing to do with the current conversation only to make fun. That comes off less as criticism and more as drawing attention.
