I've only seen "Last Chants for a Slow Dance" but it was real good and had some intimate moments.

Wow, I had totally forgotten about Jon Jost, one of the pioneers of indie cinema. He got lost in the shuffle a little bit, perhaps needed a breakout hit with the literature crowd, like Whit Stillman and Hal Hartley.
