Damn, I thought this thread was going to be an interesting historical one, and not some video presentation.

Can someone summarize the main points, so I don't have to watch the video?

Can someone summarize the main points, so I don't have to watch the video? The main point is that Hebrew scriptures can be interpreted and mistranslated by dishonest dumbfucks to mean something other than what they say. The video producers take a series of obscure passages and claim similarities between ancient writings and Christian principles. Clusium, the OP, could have told you that if (1)she had listened to her own video and (2)she possessed the intellectual capacity to understand anything in it.

Mistranslating and misinterpreting scripture? Say it isn't so!

Yes, I could have told Cham what the video was about, except for the fact that the video is self-explanatory, & if he REALLY wanted to know what it was about, watched it & learn for himself, like any other normal person would, & not have other posters do that for him!!!

I prefer learning by reading books and magazines rather than watching videos. Maybe it's a habit formed in my school days where courses had textbooks but no videotapes. I assume it's still that way in schools.

That's what I figured, stuff on the same level as the shards of pottery with names similar to Goliath.

By extension ( which you and some of your cohorts seem to prefer ) are you suggesting that we turn this Board into a video- a - thon (mainly from the University of YouTube) where we only post arbitrary pre-scripted unsourced and non-peer reviewed ( except by other crazies in the comment section) … opinion video pieces with the agenda which we wish to promote?

No, Clusium, with all due respect you could not have told Cham what the video was about since you did not watch the video and you lack the intellectual capacity to understand anything in it. I say this giving you all the respect to which you are due and that amounts to nothing at all. You have no idea what Dr. Benjamin Sommer said or even who he is since you know nothing but how to enter a video to this forum. Even if you watch the video you are far too mentally stupid to understand anything. Here's a question that will conclusively demonstrate your inherent dumbness but only after you actually watch your own video: What is Dr. Michael Brown's argument?

Yes, I did watch the video davidivi. In fact, before deciding to post it here, I shared it in one of my FB groups, as well as a very devout Christian friends in FB. Michael Brown argued that "Since God was often perceived as somehow "untouchable," it was necessary to provide some kind of link between the Lord & His earthly Creation. One of the important links in Rabbinic thought was "the Word," called memra,' in Aramaic. We find this memra concept hundreds of times in the Aramaic Targums." Okay, now what is your rebuttal, O Great One?

View the following brief videos, Cody, and open your eyes to the truth.
