Here's your teams folks:
Dallas Houston Los Angeles New York St. Louis Seattle Tampa Bay Washington
Interesting. At least there's no 'Birmingham's or Orlandos in there.
If you want to go 'South' - I think Atlanta would have been a wiser move than Tampa.
And I'd nix Washington and go with Philly (not being a homer - we're a rabid sports town)
I'd also put Boston and Chicago in there.
We can drop Saint Louis and Houston - but I get the geographic thinking here that you don't want to be to Northern/Eastern Dominant.

Could do without Washington. I agree, Philly Boston or Chicago would have been nice.

I thought it was cool that they put teams in non NFL cities the last time out. Certainly there's a bigger pool of people to attract in New York, but I feel like it's also gonna be harder to lure people in when there's so much else going on. No team names announced yet?

Pretty good get for them.
I remember watching the original go of it. Followed the LA Extreme as my adopted team simply because they had a QB named Maddox and my favorite MLB pitcher was named Maddux so why not? They won the championship that year too. The XFL had some good things about it. Loved the scramble for the ball to decide possession and the nicknames on jerseys.
Doubt I give this much of a shot though. AAF I might though.

I get they want 'middle america'. but they couldn't even support the Cardinals or Rams think maybe they're football starved right now?

I haven't seen any. Where would you go? Just off the top of my head - Seattle Sasquatch.....

I mean, an xfl team doesn't need an NFL sized fanbase to be successful.

I mean, an xfl team doesn't need an NFL sized fanbase to be successful. I made this point about a year ago. What they need to do is play their games in 'Arena' sized stadiums like hockey/basketball - 20,000 people. Pack the house with a rabid fanbase and 'grow'. A packed house makes the atmosphere/setting that much more attractive on TV which in turn turns a casual fan onto the environment/setting. This is PPL Park (recently renamed Talen Energy Stadium) which hosts the MLS Philadelphia Union. Seats 18,500. Perfect setting in my eyes for an XFL game. You jam the seats like NHL and Indoor Lacrosse and MLS in a small setting - but this is football - so then you groooowww that fanbase. nothing more depressing as a sports fan to me as seeing a 60,000 seat stadium 80% empty. Perfect XFL First Year Setting - they've hosted college football games here previously:

Jameis will still show up late. Apparently McMahon has instated there's a no tolerance policy even in your past - i.e. even a misdemeanor - this was like a year ago. he's rolling with squeaky clean players present and past with no record at all.........

Too bad. Johnny Manziel would be perfect for them.

It's definitely a better look than trying to fill Giants stadium and failing. I'm sure there are some mini football friendly buildings around that could work, but it would also make sense to go for some somewhat smaller markets with minor league baseball ball parks.
