Bought porcelain bowls that had "Microwave safe" on them and on the box. But the bowls are so hot they burn your hands, even the parts not touching the food.
To me, that is not microwave safe.

I hadn't thought about "microwave safe," meaning anything beyond it won't blow out the electrical grid, or burn the house down. The steam that's generated by microwave cooking/re-heating is pretty intense. Oven mitts are, probably, in order.

THAT ^^ and Cooking directions usually say to let it all rest in the microwave a minute or two before removing … Potholders for sure !

Well, I use them for eating out of, not as serving bowls. Yep .. here too … I heat soup in a Latte type cup or a bowl that holds 18-20 OZ can of whatever (as in Campbells Chunky too salty soup ) …. Heat and then let it set a second and remove with potholders and carry into the eating room carrying with a bigish hotpad under it and sort of wrapped up the sides to protect my hands . It's just the steam that's making it "too hot" !

NJtoTX not to go off topic but I cannot find the original thread …. I did get the air fryer and it is GREAT and I make sure to wash it at least after every few batches of fries when I can see a shine in the basket. Thanks for the advise !
