I was listening to The Ralph Nader Radio Hour and I knew this happen and it's probably still happening... I had a Yahoo account forever but they do this BS where they either sell data on you or I also heard they just give it away. The guest suggested, and I heard other people say this, that you need an account that you pay for. And I don't have a problem with that at all. I'd prefer my communications between people and I remain private than sold to whoever. I have a Google account but they're bad at this too.

As long as you're paying, why not just get yourself a web domain?
Catman did this with Fat Cow, but there are others.

I think you're an honest catman Catman so maybe I'll give Fat Cow a try.

I would suggest Gmail, GMX or Mail. I have a Yahoo Email account I used to use to write on Yahoo Answers occasionally and I didn't know they were selling people's data but I rarely used it so it doesn't bother me.

For your main one, definitely Outlook/Windows Live.
Don't use Gmail, it's rubbish. (Although it's much more tolerable if you link it to your Outlook/Windows 10 Mail app) Gmail is good for throwaways though.

I feel embarrassed for people who still go around with "sbcglobal.net" or something like that. You could always go retro and get a Netscape account.
