Why does he get to keep some of the A's signing bonus money? He should have to return every penny.
I'm betting he's a bust in the NFL. Not big enough.

Lotsa luck, Pee Wee. Be like feeding time at the zoo for edge rushers in the NFL. He might go back to the A's if there's anything left of him.

just was a piece on SportsCenter A's feel as if they were done dirty.
it's the smart move.
if the kid is out of the league in a 4 years (somebody correct me if I'm wrong - if he gets taken in the 1st Round where he's slotted to go - isn't there a potential for a 4 year guaranteed contract?)
you then 'Tebow' this and go the MLB route.

Glad he chose the NFL simply because I now hope a stupid team drafts him in the top 11 so more players can fall to the Packers pick at 12.

I'm betting he's a bust in the NFL. Not big enough. I don't know about that. Drew Brees, Russell Wilson & Baker Mayfield seem to be doing alright.

Good on him. He can still try pro baseball if he fails, even as late as 26-30yrs old. If he's half good, he could even make money in Japan.

The more press he receives, the less curious I am about him. I feel like he's the physical antithesis of Jamarcus Russell, both being gushed over for their drafts based a lot on what ifs. Nearly everything I read or see about Kyler is a defense piece - he'll be big enough, he'll be tough enough, he'll be savvy enough. Where's the blue chip appeal of probable 15yr franchise QB? And here we are with ppl suggesting he should be #1 overall.
I know the modern schtick is for teams & front offices to build hype for players they'd never want, so as to build demand as smokescreen for their own draft plans. Maybe that's this again, dunno.
Arizona might take him & get rid of Rosen... or maybe Arizona is playing the smokescreen game to get a nice trade. Either one makes sense to me. I've seen mocks with the Raiders trading up. Never mind the Rosen defense this week by the Cards, the Raiders are doing their own with Carr.

If they waste their draft picks to move up to draft Mini Me at QB, they are dysfunctional. The Davis clan have had a historical love affair with Heisman winners, but love can blind you. I could see a team with an aging QB take a shot at Murray. Let his sit for a year (like Pat Mahomes) and hope he grows. Chargers, Steelers, Packers.
Patriots ...

Haskins looked good throwing the ball at the Combine too. It gives them two chances to get a QB in the first four picks. As for Carr, it could be a Jon to Jay trade - - Skins need a QB.

I'd maybe rather have Julian Edelman taking reps than Belichick drafting Murray.

I've been hemming and hawing about this for a while but I've come to the conclusion that the Cards are taking Murray first overall and will trade Rosen. I don't really agree with such a move - Rosen is a promising quarterback who was in an impossible situation last season; Arizona should be using their draft picks to support him, not replace him - but I think they find the Kingsbury/Murray connection too difficult to resist.

But they'd get a 1st for Rosen too - - so if they like Murray that much, they get him and then get another 1st rounder too. I think there's a chance it happens.
