As a small child in the 1970s, I did like the smell of petroleum when my father or mother would stop at a petrol station to fill up.

In limited amounts it's interesting. But it becomes noxious very quickly. I can't imagine how fools can huff gasoline to get high.

Especially in the morning. It smells like....victory.
Oh wait a minute that's napalm. Always get the two confused.
Huh, that might explain why my car is always exploding.

Yeah I like the smell. I'm not crazy enough to huff it, but I know why some people do. Its got that good feeling smell. Would have to agree.

Not when I’m putting out fire. You wouldn't believe what I've been through.

Catman recalls the story of two women in South Dakota (a mother and daughter) who discovered gasoline was great for cutting through grease, so they decided to use it to clean their oven. Unfortunately, they didn't think to turn off the natural gas, so eventually, the fumes were ignited by the pilot light.
The daughter survived the explosion.

Ok, so this is one of those weird ones where we have to admit that there are certain smells that are both highly unusual and yet somehow kind've attractive.
Like paper.
or when a match gets lit.
or gasoline!
Or the funk of a person you're in heat with, even though otherwise you might go "ewwww!"
yeah some weird smells are kinda attractive. I wonder why that is?

No, it gives me bad headaches if I am exposed to it.
My first car had a leaky tank, and I spent an entire weekend trying to patch it up with some special sealant stuff. The petrol fumes made me really sick.

Yeah but I'm never sure if it's around so I light a match and throw it to check to see. Here is my latest pic to find the gas to smell it.

Yes yet just the aroma not so much inhaling a f'n whiff. I think it's like tar, black coffee... raw compositions like that are oddly aromatic. I know it's some sort of adult thing because as a little kid, the smell of tar made me ill.

No. Not particularly and I am pretty sure I don't know anybody who does.
