I haven't been paying too much attention but from the trailers I've seen they haven't shown who is supposed to be the actual villain in the movie.
They've shown Ronan but he isn't going to be the main villain. They've mentioned the Skrulls but they haven't really any one of them in particular too much.
Which makes me thinks that because they haven't made it clear that it means they're trying it quiet? Like it's supposed to be some kind of surprise I guess
In which it's bound to be Jude Laws character then isn't it?

Rumor is the secret villain is Jude Law's character. Would Ronan even be a genuine villain since Danvers is half-Kree in this?

No idea. I think it'd be cool if it's a character floating around the background of the Silver Surfer cartoon from the 90's. That's where my mind goes when I think about Kree-Skrull type stuff. It's definitely where I first saw Thanos. Ego too, for that matter, and the Watchers.
Someone or something from that area of space might be cool.

It's probably going to Jude Law's character as a surprise villain.

Does tend to be the majority of their villains, all 3 Iron Men filsm, 2 out of 3 cap films, 3 out of 3 if you count Red Skull even though his pigmentation doesn't match up, 1 1/2-2 out of the Thor films, Malekith was half black by the end of the film iirc, Avengers, Age Of Ultron if you believe Tony is the villain of the story, Dr Strange, Ant-Man, Homecoming, GOTG Vol 2, all white male villains.
Is it a good or bad thing that 2018 saw no white males as the main antagonist?

Well we know that the Skrulls are, but Jude Law may be the "twist villain" at the end.
Carol may end up fighting both the Skrulls and the Kree.

Because there was a lot of speculation who Jude Laws character even was. So yeah I suppose he could be a skrull.

Getting Henry Duckard/Ra's Al Ghul vibes of Jude Law's character.
