5. Daniel Craig.
4. Pierce Brosnan.
3. Sir Roger Moore.
2. Timothy Dalton. < Closest to the novels of Ian Fleming.
1. Sean Connery. < My PERSONAL favorite. The way Ian Fleming SHOULD'VE made him.
I would NEED to see On Her Majesty's Secret Service (again, as I haven't seen it in DECADES) to put George Lazenby in his CORRECT, FACTUAL and PROPER ranking spot. I do NOT include the one from the spoof Casino Royale NOR Barry Nelson who was the FIRST to play him (as an American, NOT as a British).

1. Moore 2. Connery 3. Dalton 4. Brosnan 5. Lazenby 6. Craig
If Lazenby hadn't had a crummy agent, I think he could have matured into an excellent Bond. I wonder if the series would have still gone more light hearted if he had been the lead in The Man With the Golden Gun, etc.

Craig is definitely the worst. The best for me is a tie between Sean Connery and Roger Moore.

I've only read Casino Royale, and of all the Bonds, Craig's seemed closest. Campy Moore the furthest.
Craig Connery Dalton Brosnan Lazenby (despite being in my favorite Bond movie, he was pretty wooden)

Timothy Dalton is actually my favourite Bond. He looks and acts the part wonderfully. Dashing, charming, yet dangerous without being a thug.
Daniel Craig is my least favourite. He never felt like Bond to me.
I like all of the others for the most part, though the quality of their movies varies wildly.
