. One thing a lot of us Brits are amused and bemused by is the overgenerous and multitudinous use of the word ASS in it seems nearly every other American movie since the mid 70's and the advent of Lee Strasberg's method acting. The variety and inventiveness of it's use is also a constant howl as well. A pretty girl can be nice piece of Ass.
Does it mean backside? or a watered down version of the English Arse? or the Whole body? You or Yourself? or Donkey?
Love it when a grizzled Police chief says to the under achieving cops: Get your ass over here. Your ass in a sling Kick/Bust your Ass. Dumbass Your Ass is mine etc
What are your favourite examples (witty, ludicrous, pointless, desperately unfunny, whatever ) of the A§§ word in a cop movie or indeed any movie?

I think Arnold calls Jack Slater (himself) an ass when Jack tackles him in the crowd near the end of the film.
