Looks like it made $13 million more than what was projected. Sounds like Captain Marvel is a big success. The projection was for $160M and as high as $180M. So it underperformed by $7M. But you said its original traction was $140M. It outperformed by $13M.

Captain Marvel Could Make 29% Less Than Initial Projections for Opening WeekendBack at the beginning of 2019, the long-range box office forecasting on Disney’s Captain Marvel had the debut flick for Brie Larson’s ultra-powerful character tracking at a massive $140 million opening weekend. We’re now only a few weeks away from seeing the heroine that Nick Fury called when the need was most dire on the big screen, and it’s looking like Captain Marvel could make less than we thought opening weekend, coming in around $100 million.Looks like Captain Marvel is going to underperform by almost 30%. Oops.

The initial projections were for $160M and as high as $180M. So it underperformed. No it says right there in your selected quote, a massive $140 million projection and it exceeded even that amount!

Largest ever global opening for a March film. Didn't BvS come out in March? That one had to hurt.

Wonder Woman made $147 mill the first week so CM made more in 3 days than WW did during a summer opening week
