WHY??? Why after a big comeback does he now star in 2 of the worst movies of his entire career. Does he do this on purpose? He makes a couple great decisions in a row, picks himself back up after sucking ass for a while and then goes right back to sucking ass again. His career is bi-polar.

Well, he's slightly erratic, you're right, but so were cinema's old pals Lee Marvin, Ernest Borgnine, Jack Palance and Charles Bronson when I was growing up, and those guys were as tough as they come. I figure Anrie & Sly's got this under control. Stallone's filmography still has more hits than misses which is more than can be said for competitors like Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal. But paying customers need to take responsibility too - why pay to see crappy, watered down 'Expendable' assembly line sequels in droves? Perhaps the Marvel generation has a lot to answer for.

That is why it is more jarring. Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal never played in movies as famous and successful as Stallone's and didn't seem to have the extreme highs and the extreme lows that Stallone has had. His career took a dive in the early 2000s and then picked up again after The Expendables and then he really hit gold with his Oscar nomination and two successful Rocky spin-offs and now he is playing in stuff that is borderline straight-to-DVD again. You'd think that he would be able to find better work. Not just his movies either. It is strange to think that he started his career as a dramatic actor who found fame by playing vulnerable and emotional and then to become a somewhat wooden action star for the majority of the rest of his career.

Probably for a quick paycheck. Even though he made a comeback, I don't really see him fitting into many A list movie roles that he didn't write for himself.

I hope he finds another 'Copland' alongside Al Pacino, which is what he wants. Father time is ticking, but imagine those two in a new Brian De Palma crime picture, with John Travolta as the signature baddie. Somebody needs to supply a decent script and fund this now.

It's time for a Demolition Man sequel. The box office could far exceed the original as it could be a timely and topical commentary on today's nutty PC climate.

Actors often say they have no idea how the films they star in will turn out
They have no idea which ones will be good, bad, hits, misses.

They could call it 'Demolition Woman'. Oh shit, I forgot about today's Hollyweird trends. And the third part can be 'The Big Part 3 : 'Demolition Wall Builders For Trump : Partisan 3' for the bible belt. Wow, what muscles he has, glistening in the oil shine.

Escape Plan 2 was very disappointing. There was no point to make it.

I hear he's only in Escape Plan 2 (and I think he's doing Escape Plan 3) for basically 10-15 minutes at most. He probably did the film for a quick paycheck.

I honestly don't think anyone who is in a movie knows how the overall finished film will look until they see it after editing. What looks good on paper does not always transfer to looking good on the screen. So I somehow doubt that Sly had any idea these would be as bad as you claim. And every actor has a few clunkers in their resume as well as gold stars.

I dunno without looking it up if Dredd came out first or last to DM, but in a way it is a sequel. I mean, that is what you would get. Only instead of bad asses since order was restored, he would be a cop running around going after curse word using violators. Maybe we would get the answer on how to use the seashells? I thought one DM was enough and I just don't see how they can improve on it or what the plot would be.

It's simple, a new leader comes to power and brings back the old PC nuttiness of the first movie. The media demonizes John Spartan, covers for this new leader and misreports every news story.

Maybe it's time for a remake of The Party at Kitty and Stud's.
