So they hired a man to rewrite a womans script. Yikes Yes, they did and, since this is the first time this has ever happened in all of human history, your observation proves to be particularly astute. Well done.

Just strikes me a little odd thats all. Seems like Feige wanted this to be a production headed by females which is why he hired Jac and Cate to write and direct. You can see how this could be seen as a bad PR move right, the fact they have to bring in a man to rewrite Black Widow? Especially when the rumour is that the original script was a "mess".

My reaction to the silly attempt to somehow tarnish the Black Widow movie/Marvel Silly attempt? Or a simple eye raising reaction to how Feige/MCU set a precedent to hire more female writers and directors and now, one of their prized female superheros whose long overdue for a solo flick has to have rewrites done by a man? Doesnt look that great a move from the outside. I think its your attempt to brush this off as silly.

So they hired a man to rewrite a womans script. Yikes Because Feige doesn't want women making MCU movies. All that talk about MCU hiring more women directors and writers is just PR fluff for the media. Heck, Feige wouldn't even allow a women director to direct Captain Marvel on her own. Feige appointed a male director to be in charge and direct Captain Marvel while having a woman "co-director" parade in front of the media so that he can get positive PR for that.

DC-Fan try and do some research for once so you don't come across like such a tool fool - the directors of Captain Marvel, Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, are HUSBAND AND WIFE, they have been a team of directors since college.

You had no idea they're married, got fucking owned and made up a stupid conspiracy theory.

Nice try but you clearly didn't know they were married to begin with and you know nothing of their work ethic or the number of interviews they've given together compared to singularly.

Wonder Woman was written by Allan Heinberg.. from a story by Heinberg, Zack Snyder, and Jason Fuchs. All men.
And that female fronted film turned out to be pretty great.

I try not to belittle women by assuming they are weak-minded individuals who aren't strong enough to voice their opinion about their male partners.
Having said that, if Kevin Feige was concerned about the optics in the media of his director choice for a female starring film, he would've never hired a male to co-direct Captain Marvel in the first place.
And if he plans to secretly take control of the directing duties anyways, it would've been a much smarter play to only hire a female director to, as you say, "parade in front of the media".
Considering all of that, it doesn't make much sense to have hired any male director whatsoever.

Feige hired a male "co-director" because he wanted him to do the actual directing. He didn't want a woman to do the actual directing.

Nice try but you clearly didn't know they were married to begin with and you know nothing of their work ethic or the number of interviews they've given together compared to singularly. And what the fuck does their being married have to do with Kevin Feige hiring a male "co-director" to direct Captain Marvel while a female "co-director" parades in front of the media cameras for PR fluff? Are you saying that whenever a producer hires a director, the producer has to also hire the director's spouse and can't say "I just want to hire 1 director only"? So you're saying that MCU Kevin Feige couldn't have just said he wanted to hire the wife only and wasn't going to hire the husband? The fact is Feige hired them both because Feige wasn't willing to let a woman be in charge of directing his movies but was willing to hire her so she could parade in front of the media cameras for positive PR fluff. And that's confirmed by the very fact that Feige recently said MCU was going to hire more female directors and female writers and then turns around and hires a man to re-write the script for Black Widow. So all that talk by Feige of MCU hiring more female directors and female writers was just done for PR fluff.

MCU Dictator Kevin Feige doesn't like having women in charge, which is why all of the women in Black Panther are subservient to a male King and none of the women were allowed to challenge for the throne of Wakanda.

You fail

Which law is it that says if you hire someone, you also have to hire their spouse? STOP BULLSHITTING! Feige could've just hired a female director to solely direct Captain Marvel (like Patty Jenkins did for Wonder Woman), but he didn't because he wanted a male director to direct the movie and only wanted a female "co-director" to parade in front of the cameras for media fluff.
