yep. love dogs and love to cuddle and play with them and kiss them. not too fond of wet dog smell or them licking my face but both are sometimes hard to avoid. especially when its a dog that knows and likes you and its a giant pit bull that wants to jump up put their paws on your shoulders and give you a big wet kiss.
i love cats even more though, i can spend hours cuddling with a kitty and Their smell comforts me and there is no ban on Their kisses since they generally have a better breath. kissed many a kitty bellies too.
but I am generally quite affectionate with humans I like as well, and love physical contact and am fond of all animals. kissed all sorts of different animals throughout my life and hope to kiss many more.

You probably couldn't even manage the two step. I'd rather be weird and gross, than be base level boring with no imagination. You are base level boring with no imagination. And your hugs are as worthless as your hips.

That's a nice ability to go right to that place in your mind and basically state of being.

That reads like a weird question, but I am sincere. There are some canine creatures out there that just steal my heart and I could just hug and kiss on them all the day long. Right now I am watching 70s program "Columbo" and I love how Lt. Columbo loves his basset hound. So awesome. I want to pick them up and carry them around and spoil them to death! They would want for nothing, would never have to break a sweat, or, in their case, perhaps a drool. I am even fond of wet dog smell. It is such a comfort to me. Boomer, Benji, Tiger, Freeway, Theodore... I love nice doggies!!!

I am a huggy person, but so many people aren't and you can tell, because they get stiff and don't know how to hug back.

The dog - or other animal - does not have to be cute for me to feel affection for it. I enjoy giving them a pat or a scratch if they enjoy it, a few kind words and maybe a couple of treats if I have something suitable at hand.
At present, I enjoy providing a watering hole and part-time food supplier to the neighbourhood birds. And it seems the number and size of those birds are steadily increasing. Some of them seem to be getting quite plump.
There's no interaction between us, but I enjoy watching them having a feed from the kitchen window.

Some people say they don't like yippy dogs. Okay, fair enough. Don't have a problem with that. My feline version of that is I cannot deal with high strung cats that are waiting for you to turn the corner so they can pounce on you and dig their claws in and bite you on the neck ala Bela Lugosi. ("ahhh... nobody gives two fecks for Bela! I'm just an ex-boogeyman!" I could not resist that one.) So, I guess I prefer the Garfield type cat, chubby and lazy and given to long naps in the sun. I like some cats to sit on my lap. One cool thing. My parents' two kitty cats both passed away in the last two years and knowing that they were both pretty lonely for animal companionship, I found them a place that breeds chocolate short hairs (which my mom said she always wanted), and I pushed and pushed for them to get a kitten and I found a breeder and I pushed at them and hounded them and practically begged for them to get a cat, this went on for months and as of last fall, they have been enjoying a little chocolate brown kitty cat, who is sweet and friendly and playful and a little on the small side, with only a modicum of the exasperating kitten energy and he is cute as a button. Best of all, that house has so much more life in it, and both M&D could not be happier. Yay!

It is also a care and responsibility for them, which can distract from other worrying issues about themselves.
What is his name? I love cats, but really don't want anymore animals in my life at present. It is a responsibility that does impinge on certain freedoms as well.

Yeah, it made me happy. My mom named him Hershey. He is as brown as they come. Super cute.

But I also know that a West Highland Terrier who's grooming schedule is a little off can 100% rob me of my resolve.
