Peter Tork, the singer/bassist of the pop group The Monkees has passed away at age 77, having been cancer-free for the past 10 years.
The Monkees were a fun group, combining the Beatles and the Marx Brothers.
Their TV series was successful and they released a number of hit singles: "Last Train to Clarksville," "Daydream Believer", etc.
Mike Nesmith and Mickey Dolenz are the last surviving members.
RIP, Peter.
