Does anyone know what Ridley considers cannon? I'm just curious. Is it just the movies that he made?

I'm totally in for Covenant. I was underwhelmed with Prometheus, but my love for the first 4 films (and I loved Resurrection) will keep me coming back. My expectations are low, however.

I think he's more interested with the alien backstory, even during his Alien commentary back in what....2003? or 1997? I can't remember, but even then he was wanting to explore the engineers.

Actually, the more I think about it I think I already know the answer. Even though it's not happening anymore that "Alien 5" movie was supposed to be a sequel to the first two and Ridley was going to be a producer for that..

I will probably go check it out on my own, the Mrs. did go to see Prometheus with me, but I'm not very excited about it. The trailer looks decent enough, but Ridley just messed with the creation of xenomorphs too much.

Every time Charlize Theron was on screen, I was like "when is this bitch going to die already?"

The characters, and frankly the performances by the actors who portrayed them, were not good, but that was not my only problem with movie. I probably could have gone 50-50 on the movie if it was at least scary and didn't mess with the mythology of the xenomorph's lifecycle so much.
