What I hope for most is that tonight's broadcast would replay one of the most charming moments in Oscar night history--Stanley Donen's acceptance speech (and song and dance) at the 1998 show--as a tribute to the late director. They probably won't, though, because some forgettable production number or long-winded political rant will take up too much time.

Are there any decent streams out there to watch this for a UK viewer?

Thanks. I do have a stream at the moment, although it's not quite the same when there is no chat next to it. Part of the fun is to discuss with others while it's going on. I miss the days when you had IMDB message boards and there was thriving activity going on at the same time as the Oscars.

Figures that we're already starting off with an opening of Queen music. It's just not the same without John Deacon and Freddie.

Does the stage remind anyone else of an enormous capillary system?

I mean, fine, I guess they earned it. It was a weak list this year.

The makeup does seem fine for Vice.
