What’s the difference between sound mixing and sound editing? Sound mixing is how well it is lined up with the movie and the overall quality and sound editing is the noises that are recorded and used for sound effects. Like a glass breaking and stuff like that.

What’s the difference between sound mixing and sound editing? Sound editors are responsible for the recorded sounds you hear in the movie such as Foley effects, ADR, and additional sound effects. Sound mixers are responsible for controlling the frequency and pressure level at which you hear the sounds.
