Directors Cut on "Lookin' to Get Out"

Has anyone seen the Directors Cut? It was supposed to be lost, until Jon Voigt screened it for some film students, and realized that was his version before the studio re-cut everything, and the movie went to the trash. 17 million budget, 1 million gross (for 1982)..

Has anyone seen both versions? I can't imagine Ashby's version worse.
