He was in Inception not too long ago, not sure if that was Oscar bait. It got nominated for Best Picture and Best Original screenplay and won 4 other oscars so I would put it down as a Oscar calibre movie when Nolan was making it.

Actually, I respect that he hasn't done any type of movie franchise . The closest thing he's ever done (in recent memory ) would have been Inception . Which was a big budget summer blockbuster that was widely successful . And lmao at the Marvel suggestion . Come on now, he is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too good for that shit. But also...Black panther was up for Best Picture this year...so... |

He was great in Catch Me if You Can, along with Tom Hanks. This was hardly a film trying to grab Oscar notice.
