Where is everybody? Just when I arrive, everyone leaves. I'm taking this personally! Okay -- I'll play all by myself.

mcavanaugh "Where is everybody?" We just wandered off to play (and then to recover from) the torture known popularly around here as the Garth Game. I see that you did quite well in that last one. I got a 00. Pretty impressive, eh ? Your contributions here are REALLY good! pale in comparison : Harry and Tonto, Two for the Road Roman Holiday for Lovers In the Good Old Summertime (3)

Still playing with "overlaps" and "joins:" Swept Away On An Island With You, Yours, Mine and Ours, The King And I Wake Up Screaming Every Night At Eight (6) A Majority Of One Hundred Men And A Girl Interrupted A Day At the Races, My Night At Maud's, The Morning After...And Justice For All the President's Men (8) When In Rome, My Sister Eileen Can't Help Singing In the Rain After Dark, My Sweet, So I Married An Axe Murderer, And Now For Something Completely Different, There Will Be Blood (8) Great ones, Doghouse! You have a real talent for this. Next you'll be turning it into poetry. I hope you'll excuse me for somehow missing your reply above a few days ago. And I hate to tell you how much of this morning I've spent muttering things like, "Twelve O'Clock High...Live and Let Die" or "Norma Rae...Groundhog Day" to myself, but formation of even the most incoherent sentences has eluded me. Lots of rhyme, but no reason; there's always some inconveniently absent verb, conjunction, article or whatnot. It has given me one idea, however: I may go back to bed.

I like your film titles, too, Bat. The second one not only makes perfect sense, but it has a nice cadence, not easy to achieve when combining multiple titles. Good work!
The Garth Game (my first) was grueling -- fun, but grueling. I think I've finally recovered. I wonder what Matt has up his sleeve for next week.

Doghouse6 RE: Overlaps and joins (6) (6) and (8) wow ! and even more frightening is that they even make sense ! Reading them out loud helps, but that makes the cat look at you kinda funnylike. Spiderwort's suggestion : "Next you'll be turning it into poetry." Any chance ? I just explained to spiderwort that I somehow missed that suggestion - and your question - until this morning, and the resulting incoherent jabber they've induced with few results. I'm not much worried about the cats, though; they look at me funny anyway.

Footsteps in the Dark City That Never Sleeps (only 2 ... wait... it is a 3 !) No, no hitting...I've got something more painful. You wanted poetry? It'll hurt you more than it does me: The Last Time I Saw Paris Some Came Running From the Terrace Chasing Amy, Roger & Me To the Shores Of Tripoli On the Beach Around the Bend They Got Me Covered; This Is the End That's My Story! It's All True They Won't Believe Me, How About You...
That's 14 if you're counting, but don't ask me what any of it means.
