Saving Private Ryan maybe, I think that was also the last I purchased.

Think it was Beetlejuice. That was a year and almost a half now.

Tough Guys (1986), but I have since replaced it with the new blu-ray release that came out a few months ago. It's also the final VHS movie I replaced with video disc.

At least half of my movie collection is still on VHS. Many will probably never be sold on DVD.
Need to get them watched before the machine gives up the ghost.

I think it was The Lost Boys.
Either that or The Fellowship of the Ring. I remember that movie being the last one I bought on VHS.

Escape to Athena 1979, sometime in the mid-1990s. We had a massive power failure, and my video player never woke up again.

I have the original Star Wars trilogy on VHS, so Return of the Jedi was the last one I watched.

My last first-time viewing of a movie via videocassette seems to have been “The Satan Bug” (1965). This was on June 27, 2007.

The un-sh*tty version of Return of the Jedi. Although the tape got eaten so the second half was just static with audio.

Probably Star Trek: First Contact.
That would have been way back in the summer of 2005. I was still only making the transition to DVD at the time.

Just finished City Heat (1984) A slick private eye and tough police lieutenant--once partners, now bitter enemies--reluctantly team up to investigate a murder. Not their best. Not their worst. Lots of gunplay and a few laughs.

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983). I watched all three of the original trilogy on VHS in the lead-up to seeing Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015).
