If "A Wrinkle in Time" was only aimed at one specific group of people then they can't complain that the movie didn't do very well at the box office.

I don't need a 30 year old white girl complaining about not enough women and diversity in superhero movies, they're not made for THEM! How about that, Brie?

I really don’t care at all about stuff like this. I ordered my tickets for Captain Marvel earlier today and will probably enjoy it.

Why do actors always feel they have to make political statements? They should stick to acting, that's what they're being paid for, not for indoctrinating the public with silly nonsense.

I don`t mind that actors\actresses make political statement. But i don`t think they should use movies and press tours to do it.

not for indoctrinating the public with silly nonsense. I think religion still has that on lock down.

Do you ever comment on politics? If so, maybe you should stick to whatever it is you do and leave the political comments for the politicians.

Remember when you see people whining about her comments that these are the same people who will call you a snowflake for getting angry at Roseanne comparing a black woman to an ape.

This is a good point, i have also noticed that people only complain if the actor has a political view that is different from their own. If an actor as the same political view they don`t mind that the actor is political. Everybody can comment on politics even actors.

There once was a time when most actors had enough sense to keep their idiotic political views to themselves, that way half their audience wouldn't be alienated.

Actors and stars are just regular people. They might have dream jobs, as us movie buffs believe, they make a lot of money for what they do, but they are just ordinary people like us. So they can say stupid things (which of us has not done that? Anybody? I have) and we should laugh, give our own opinions, and try to overlook.
Don't ascribe more savvy or intelligence to them automatically. They do have responsibility, as their opinions get heard more than say, mine. But they can misspeak, be wrong, and stupid.
But really stars have as much right to their opinions as anybody, for they are that, just anybody.

There is a reason it's called show BUSINESS.

What exactly was wrong with what she said? Unless you have a problem with diversity, other ethnic groups or women, it seems fine what she said. Forty old white dudes will be just fine. time.com/5312618/brie-larson-women-in-film/

That's also kind of her point: Why shouldn't there be a Wonder Woman or Captain Marvel movie? Or a Rey in Star Wars? Why should superhero movies be only for male movie goers? No men ever complained about female lead Alien, Aliens, or The Terminator. If a great female lead movie gets made, men love it and don't complain, that's how this works. If Brie knew anything about sci fi and superhero movies, she would know this.
