No they will see that we had a civil conversation where you claimed to be a purist 'believer' unaligned to any 'religion'. My God is only for me'. Then when challenged by me, you suddenly became a Christian apologist who posted Christian style 'simple believer ( lying) to Christian apologist links to Christian style charitable contributions worldwide which was indicative your sudden change of heart from 'my God is my own) to accepted Christian religious propaganda. This change is on record on this thread an yet you NOW blame ME? You lied and you were caught out. It has nothing to do with me. He never said he wasn't a Christian... just not a member of any specific church or organized religion. He's still allowed to have his own beliefs. You assuming that he wouldn't have any convictions at all..... and being surprised/angry that he does... is pure lunacy.  Thankyou Vegas, That was my point. He is indeed allowed to have his own beliefs, and in the first part of this thread he claimed to be unaligned as you confirm. In fact he made a big deal about it, THEN, however he changed his tune and became a Christian religious apologist in contradiction to the afore mentioned neutrality and personal nature of his self proclaimed beliefs. Again, he is quite entitled to do this, however it is the change of tune on this thread that leads me to believe he is a hypocrite and speaks with forked tongue, let alone blaming me for his ridiculous turn around on this thread. I had at first thought, when in discussion with him, that he was reasonable and true in his beliefs and utterance of them. Imagine my surprise and (not anger)….we shall call it disappointment that he turned out to be a regular delusional Christian apologist and a lair, turning it around to anger ON ME... who merely pointed it out. It's just that the Sunday School teachers gloss over the evil part of the story where God kills millions of men, women, infants, and baby piglets, the latter being OK because we were not allowed to eat them anyway. Of all the places in the Bible where God kills people, the most widely known story is that of the great flood. Few know of the 42 boys mauled by bears, or the fact that Lord killed Er just because Er was "displeasing to Jehovah". The most common retort is that God gave mankind free will and was punishing those that used free will. What's the point of free will if the Lord is going to kill you for using it. God should have given mankind limited free will so that he wouldn't have to kill those who went too far. As for Vegas, rather than present a rational rebuttal, Vegas chooses to throw insults. That is the same drum that he beats.

The reason why I need to emphasis this is that lines such as 'Because God wants us to have a choice and temptation. Our time on Earth is supposed to be a test.' 'God wants us to choose between good and evil, and right and wrong' 'Church is a man made institution.' 'Faith is hard. Its a test.' etc are not hedged at all, neither did you preface your principal remarks with any disavowal of certainty.. The risk of course being that, reading your later words which appeared after criticism, one might think that you end up just sounding mealy-mouthed. It might also be pointed out in this context that those who read their bible might have a different view from yours and that indeed "... the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." (Prov 2:6) or "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.. " 1:7 etc. But, see you on the next thread.
