This one might be a bit challenging, but I do have several valid answers in mind so let's try it...
13 Time Travel films without a person physically traveling to a different time period
01. Frequency - Only time travel is done by radio messages

Well, this thread is for Sci-fi themes (although the old thread over in IMDb was "Sci-Fi/Fantasy"). But within that, any film containing Time Travel should be ok (time travel itself is a sci-fi theme, right?) 13 Time Travel films without a person physically traveling to a different time period 01. Despite the method used, he still did physically travel back in time. He gave a young woman a watch or something which she then returned to him years later as an old woman.

Why then when he returns to 1980 after seeing the 1979 penny in his coat pocket, is he in the same position that he was when he departed 1980, albeit his undone shirt, as he had sex the previous night? Aside from the hypnosis, I can't remember if it was the actual watch itself that helped make time travel possible for him.

Not trying to nitpick here, but what is your take on what the character actually did? You say he had sex the previous night. In order to have sex did he not have to be there physically with the woman in 1912, a different time period to his own? Or is your interpretation that he dreamt or imagined the whole sequence or something else? If so, I could see your entry as being ok; this is a tough category to begin with. As to the watch, I think it was just the inspiration for him to try his experiment and not the mechanism to travel. But someone else made an interesting observation about it. The old woman gave him the watch. He then went back in time and gave it to her when she was young. Then she aged and eventually returned it to him in the present day. So where did the watch come from in the first place? It’s a time travel conundrum.

So where did the watch come from in the first place? It’s a time travel conundrum. I haven't seen the film, so I'm hesitant to judge, but it sounds like if the watch changed hands in the past then he was physically present. But I'll leave it in for now. It sounds like we're struggling (the four I had in mind were the first four listed), so I think I can open it up slightly while keeping the topic: "Reset the day" type stories would be ok, since the character isn't traveling to a different time period but time itself is rewind or resetting... 13 Time Travel films without a person physically traveling to a different time period 01.
