I dislike most of his movies, but there are a few I like.

You don't know how many of his movies you like and how many you dislike? I am pretty sure that that is the question that is being asked.

He hasn't been in anything really funny since The Other Guys (2010). This has not been a good decade for Will.

He’s pretty funny, yet I have to see more of his films to clearly justify.

Watched Holmes and Watson... makes me feel he's going full Adam Sandler.

Same director that did Get Hard did Holmes and Watson and I haven't seen either of those. His other films like Step Brothers, Talladega Nights, Land of the Lost, The Other Guys, Old School, etc. I absolutely love.

I did not vote in the poll but he's not someone I care for in general (I have seen enough of his style to know I just don't like it) so I avoid his movies as I have not seen much he's in (probably very little). but Stranger Than Fiction was average for me but then again that's not your typical Will Ferrell movie.
with that said... the only thing I liked Will Ferrell in is that Matrix skit with Justin Timberlake as he suit that one well.
p.s. but I do think there is worse than Will Ferrell though like Steve Carell. although if you want to get more into that 'hate' level of stuff (or lets say bottom-of-the-barrel)... Tom Green is pretty much the gold standard with Sacha Baron Cohen next in line along with those Jackass guys (which between those handful it makes up all of my 1/10's on IMDb). also, some dis Adam Sandler but I generally like his overall presence/style even though some of his movies can be crap but just for Happy Gilmore (1996) (7.5-8/10 ; within my Top 97 movies) that makes Adam Sandler for me even though there are some others of his that I like.

He can be funny, other times he's down right awful. Maybe he should just stick to being the drummer for Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Thanks for providing the filmography .,., it helps.
Seems I've only seen three of his films and liked Elf and Stranger than Fiction well enough. No problem with him to explain the limited viewings, it's that the type of films he is in doesn't really appeal.

I would get Step Brothers if the dog turd scene wasn't in it. Other than that, hilarious and great film.

Most of his movies are pretty much endearing old-school 90's comedy , that is bawdy but sensitive . But they now seem to have become very irrelevant in the modern age (2010>). My favorite movie is his only non-comedy , Stranger Than Fiction , that really showed he could do drama with some sensitivity . I think he could do the sort of roles that Philip Hoffman or Tom Hanks have played quite comfortably . And as well , he could also pretend to be Chevy Chase for the rest of his acting career too .

Just About Even.....Like About As Many As I Disliked
...sounds right. Let's see:
Liked: Anchorman 1 Talladega Nights Stranger Than Fiction The Other Guys A Deadly Adoption
Disliked: A Night at the Roxbery Daddy's Home Anchorman 2 Elf Megamind
Is a "Will Ferrell Film" only a movie he's the star of? Because I do like Zoolander, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Wedding Crashers, and the first two Austin Powers films.

Old School & Anchorman are very good. Truthfully though, he's got sound comedic ensembles for both to help.
Elf I watched too many times. I need some more years off from that.
Blades of Glory was sadly wasted potential.
