It's got that "Army of Darkness" charm to it. I went in with zero-expectations, came out having seen one of the most self-aware and intelligent movies in quite a while. It's a work of art. I'm not a comic fan (no aversion to it, just wasn't ever something that I was interested in) but seeing James Gunn (and Michael Rooker!) on "Guardians of the Galaxy" was pretty much the reason I bought a ticket. Based on this movie. I'm a horror fan, and this was the most fun I've had since "Critters." Or maybe "Jason X" And to keep to topic, the mayor was my favorite part of "Slither." Trying to hold it together, knowing he's got responsibilities, but still being completely dumbfounded at some of the things that happen in the story.
