They should have done this with Black Panther, but for eternity.

Yeah it looks like it's true. My God, I live in Australia. 2 major cinema chains, both Event and Hoyts. The session times are never that much. 9:30am 10:00am 10:15am 11:00am 11:40am 12:15pm 12:40pm 1:00pm 1:40pm 2:30pm 3:00pm 3:20pm 3:45pm 4:20pm 5:45pm 6:00pm 6:30pm 7:00pm 7:30pm 8:00pm 8:30pm 8:45pm 9:15pm 9:40pm Apparently it's in other countries too. Also timed with International Women's day

Believe everything you are fed don't you. 95% of the screens showing Captain Marvel?? Where did that come from? Go to the actual site. There are 60 film screenings on the 6 March...12 of which are Captain Marvel, the actual first day of screening. After the 6th only Captain Marvel is listed 7th March there are 9 screenings...thats a long way from 95%. So tell me...where does it indicate that this cinema is showing Captain Marvel ONLY and leaving the other 50 slots empty? Here's a thing...most cinemas do not finalise there show times until nearer release except the major EVENT films which they will sell tickets way in advance

Also timed with International Women's day Go to the cinemas in question. Look how many slots there are before Captain Marvel release...then look at how many screenings are for Captain Marvel after release. If it was the only movie showing they would be around the same otherewise the cinema is empty for most of the day. Different chains finalise their weekly showtimes at different times and only usually show the major releases with advanced bookings. My local Cineplex has 65 film screenings on 7 March. On 8th...they wouldn't normally finalise a full programme this far in advance...they have 20 screenings for Captain Marvel listed, split between the IMAX, IMAX 3D and Standard screens. So what is showing on the other 45 screenings? This is pretty normal for ANY major release

Look at the difference between 6 and the 7 March, then it keeps going link

Look at the difference between 6 and the 7 March, then it keeps going link 6th March 122 screenings. 7th March 32 Captain Marvel screenings on release date.....so the other 90 slots are empty? 8th March 25 Captain Marvel screenings (international Women's day)...so the other 97 slots are empty? And no increase for IWD...in fact number reduced 9th March 25 Captain Marvel screenings...no more or less than IWD It's just a case of advance timetable not being finalised. Actually look at their site....they only list films that are major releases or special screenings after 7 March....films that expect advance screenings. It's how cinemas work Captain Marvel disappears from advanced bookings after 22 March...are you saying it won't still be showing. It is replaced by next "event" movie "Us"

or maybe they're not gona show anything else Really....all these cinema chains have been coerced into leaving the large majority of their screens empty at the request of Disney. That makes real financial sense. What's the point of Disney making films if the venues they shoe them in go out of business? And of course not one of these organisations have publicly compained. Do me a fovour...this time next week go to your local Multiplex and tell me if Captain Marve is the ONLY film showing there all day and night.

dude c'mon with 2 more days to go, not finalised... More like 4 days. Bookers still have to finalise what films they want to keep showing...would the rental of the film against the takings of the previous week make sense to keep that film on their screen. After the intitial arranged booking period, bookings are checked and arranged on a weekly basis. Until the films are finalised, and what size screen they need the timetable can't be.

They want to find reasons to be mad, so that will swallow any stupid story that allows them to get mad.

Here's an explanation of how cinemas book screenings It seems in the comments the originator of the video posted by the OP is not now 100% convinced by his own theory

Well I just finished buying our tickets for next Friday, and from what I can see you can still buy tickets for different movies up until Thursday but after that it's all Captain Marvel. Whether they'll include other movies closer to those days remains to be seen.
On a different note, I had trouble finding seats for this movie. Primetime showings from Friday-Sunday were sold out. I did not expect this movie to sell out that fast. Maybe for something like Infinity War but not a solo origin movie.

Well in Australia, in that specific week. there are only 2 sessions of rhapsody and 1 session of green book, rest are cap marvel as for sostie, we'll have to wait and see
