Warriors swingman Andre Iguodala said Saturday night that two-time MVP Stephen Curry still "doesn't really get the respect he deserves," calling his star teammate "the second-best point guard ever" behind Magic Johnson.
Do you agree with Iguodala? I believe Curry is the greatest 3 pointer shooter I have ever seen. No doubt in my mind. I am not sure he is the best PG I have ever seen. Although I will rate Curry better or at least more effective player than the best PG i have ever seen.

No. You might be right, by the time he hangs them up he may very well be the greatest 3 point shooter ever, but take that away and heβs only an above average point guard. Heβs probably not #2 right now, let alone all time.

He is a 2 guard. a great one. If that Mark Jackson fool was still coaching them Curry would be a legit pg and they would have won zero titles.

The way game has evolved PG's role seems to be a lot different now. A good traditional PG like Mike Conley doesn't get much notice by media and fans.

It is not that crazy of a statement, even if I disagree. He can definitely be argued at this point. He has the resume and he is probably the best shooter I have ever seen.

I guess it depends on how you define the role of a PG. The traditional PG, I don't even know if he's top ten. But in today's NBA where it's all about volume shooting from 3 and he isn't required to 'run the offense,' he's as good as it gets.
