Between Beta/VHS, Laserdisc, DVD, HD-DVD, Blu-ray, and now Ultra HD 4K Blu-rays, some movies have had many, MANY releases on home video......and when you start factoring in "Anniversary", or "Collector's Edition" releases of some titles, it isn't a stretch to assume that some of them have, more than likely, now reached double-digits in the total number of separate releases they've had over the (40+) years home videos have been sold. Which movie, or movies, would you guess have probably had the most separate releases on home video since 1977 (the year of the first Beta and VHS releases) ?? SAVE FERRIS

Probably Night of the Living Dead. In public domain to this day so many companies had their own version of it.

The Evil Dead (original) Evil Dead 2 Halloween (original) Alien E.T the Extra-Terrestrial Jaws The Thing (original)
All of the James Bond movies
Halloween must have 6 or 7 different releases on Anchor Bay DVD alone.

As mentioned earlier it is Night of the Living Dead. It's was in the public domain not too long after release.
According to wiki
That doesn't include the Beta releases, the numerous other VHS releases (VHS was a dead format in 2017 so I guess not many were listed), Laserdisc, VCD etc.

My first instinct is something like Lion King or Beauty and the Beast.

I would've guessed Gone with the Wind or The Wizard of Oz....both released in 1939.

Murnau's Nosferatu has to be up there as well. I've seen tons of various copies floating around (another PD title). I imagine out of silent films it has the most.
Some films like American Graffiti have had numerous re-releases and anniversary editions. Heck it was even released on MCA Discovision format.
