I'm almost current and have to say I'm liking S9. It's nice to have the show based on actual story arcs again rather than just a weekly installment of Negan acting like an egomaniacal peckerhead. Granted some of the character arcs are exact repeats of what others went through already in other seasons, but there's only so many stories of personal growth you can do and here we are almost a decade later. I do like some of the newer shooting styles and little gimmicks like what his name's trapping the zombies with his new dog. Also some of the overhead landscape shots of the farm/villages are very good. I'm to the point where they are practicing how they're going to handle no Rick and it seems to be working fine. I don't miss him.

It’s a bit of a return to form for the series with each episode having each story it’s own share rather than just one episode centered on one group or person, and with the last episode, I can safely say the show is getting back on track!
