I used to always, I do sometimes now, but I notice some don't have them, and this could be as a result of watching an "online version".. and now if I do, its to let the music finish, to end it properly, and if I read, its only to see the origins of the surname (etymology fan).. Sometimes I read to see if I recognize names, and if there are similar surnames to the stars (usually a younger brother who gets cast as a head extra).

I often sit through the closing credits of Fight Club to listen to Where is my Mind?
The Marvel cinematic universe movies also make sitting through credits a regular thing. The mid credits scene for Captain Marvel had me like -

Last film I sat through the entire credits for was Blade Runner 2049. Great background music and I was still recovering from that amazing film. It just enveloped me.
I always loved the old Burt Reynolds films in the '80s with the outtakes playing during the credits like Cannonball Run and Stroker Ace. Those were fun.

Online versions have closing credits not all.. and some of the French (and others) don't have closing credits, and end a scene with "FIN"

Back when I still went to the theater to see movies, it annoyed the clean up crew when I was the only one left in the theater … I was reading the credits.
Watching the newer films at home with their un-ending list including "second directors dog walker on a Tuesday" crediting, I usually read only to see if there are "joke" entries or how minute they are getting ^^^^, and to listen to the music.

Absolutely and always -- they deserve that courtesy after toiling so hard to give us the cinematic enjoyment.

I do if the credits are unique and/or the music is good.

I sat thru the credits for Annihilation cause I was so stoned out of my mind and didn't want to get up (plus the closing credits were really cool & trippy)

I normally don't, but nowadays, comic book and even animated films have post-credits scenes that are worth watching the end credits for.

At home, I generally always sit through the credits. Adds a sense of closure to the proceedings.
In the cinema, it depends on the audience. If the bulk of the patrons have left/are leaving, I'll generally head. Whereas if people are staying behind to catch the credits I'll typically follow suit. This only applies if I liked the movie in question though.

I like to watch because sometimes there may be an unexpected name in a small role. Or an odd credit, such as this from Sleeping Dogs Lie: "Catering by Fred's Hot Dogs." Or a little gem like this from the same movie:
This film was monitored by the American Humane Association. No animal was harmed or pleasured during the making of this movie.
(You have to watch the film to understand why that last one was there).
